Two-factor authentication

Learn how to set up multi-factor authentication to keep your OVIN Training account secure.

Two-factor authentication

To enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your OVIN Learn account, follow these steps.

2FA is an additional security feature that requires a unique code in addition to your username and password when logging in on an unrecognized device. This measure significantly improves login security for your account.

  1. Download an authenticator app on your mobile device. You can choose your preferred app from a number of options compatible with Wordfence 2FA, including Google Authenticator (Google Play, Apple), FreeOTP (Google Play, Apple), Authy and more.
  2. On OVIN Learn, open the “OVIN 2FA” page.
  3. Follow the instructions on this page to set up 2FA:
  • Once your authenticator app is installed on your mobile device,
  • open it and scan the QR code or enter the provided key in section 1 into the app.
  • You can download the Recovery Codes in section 2 and save them to another secure device in case you lose access to your authenticator app.
  • Enter the code (without spaces) from your authenticator app under the entry for “ovinlearn.ca” into the text box at the bottom of the page.
  • Click “Activate.”
  • Now when you log in, after entering your password and clicking “Log in,” you will be asked to enter the generated code from your authenticator app as well.
  • Please log in or sign up
